Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
• to have completed induction and becompetent to perform work to the levelrequired.
• Exercise discretion with the level of skillrequired to operate a Pulling Unit.
• Responsible for the quality of his work.
• Perform or assist with preventativemaintenance when required.
• Plan and organize the maintenanceschedule of Pulling Unit and accessories.
• Timely inform the Company Supervisorof any problem occurring on the well oron the control of the well.
• Ability to multitask and assist others whenrequired.
• Ability to communicate effectively with theCompany Supervisor, Pulling Unit Operator,and other staff.
• Understand and be able to implement theCompany’s policies, procedures, andstandards.
• Availability for work in more than one siterequiring flexibility to travel when required.
• Responsible for barricades placedaround work areas and the erection ofsignage as required to make work areassafe.
• Ensure the good functioning of thePulling Unit during Work-Over activities,following QHSE policies and procedures.
• Reduce Downtime and optimizemachinery utilization.
• Provide positive motivation to all crewmembers to always ensure a permanent conducive work environment.
• Ensure that machines, and equipment areclean.
• Ensure that the highest level of quality isconsistently maintained through all workconducted.
• Ensure that all equipment andassociated products (couplings/rods etc.)are used to their maximum potential,while ensuring their sustainability.
• Take personal responsibility and be fullyaccountable for the achievement of allobjectives as outlined.
HSSE
• Participate in all HSSE interventionschemes (***, Incident reporting, sitevisits) and awareness sessions (HSSEMeetings, events and trainings) tomaintain and improve the Company’sHSSE culture and performance.
• Participate in all toolbox & PUMA SafetyMeetings.
• Understand the emergency procedure ofPUMA procedures and the relatedrequirements.
• Lead as a role model to improve HSSEengagement within direct team, section, anddepartment.
• Strictly comply with the company’s “No-Smoking”, “Drug & Alcohol”, “Internet & ITUsage”, “Mobile Phone” & other policies.
N.B: The incumbent may perform otherrelated duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Experience Requirements
• 3 years + experience in the Oil & Gassector.
Additional Requirements
• Promote the company’s commitment toquality and error free service.
• Ensure that all company information is keptprivate and confidential.
• Ability to multitask and provide assistancewhen required.
• Exposure to regular physical plant noises,smells related to repairing and inspecting plantequipment.
• Occasionally needs to work in awkwardpositions while inspecting a physical plant.
• Convey a professional appearance andattitude at all times.
• Lead, and coach all junior to mid operatorsto provide topnotch services.
• Proficiency in Drilling Operations with IWCFCertified at supervisory level (3) – mandatory.
• Maintain a high level of safety awarenessand standards in all daily duties and tasks.
• Ability to multitask and assist others whenrequired.
• Ability to communicate effectively (Fluent inEnglish and French.).
• Ability to work effectively with others. Stronginterpersonal relations, communication,problem solving skills.
• BOSIET Certified.
